We put our players first. We believe the most important job of a coach isn't just drilling skills, but taking the time to teach players what it means to be a true student of the game.

Founder · Club Director

Our Story

Founded by Aaron Redpath

Aaron created the Purpose Driven Mentality Academy out of his passion for coaching youth, to prepare young players early for how basketball is taught at the collegiate and professional level.

Aaron has played basketball for 21 years at every level: rep and AAU, high school, university and professionally. Highly recruited out of high school, he chose McMaster University's Kinesiology program, where he was a league all-star and an Academic All-Canadian, earning his Bachelor of Science in 2016.

As a pro, he earned NBL Canada All-Canadian honours in 2018-19 and learned from coaches and players with NBA, G-League and international backgrounds. He began coaching youth as a high school athlete and kept teaching throughout his pro career.
