PDM Basketball was founded by former pro Aaron Redpath to give young players what he wished he'd had: early preparation for how basketball is really taught at the college and professional level.

Aaron created the Purpose Driven Mentality Academy out of his passion for coaching youth. His goal: give young players a platform to learn the game the way it's taught at the collegiate and professional level, so they can excel on the court and in life.
Started competing at the rep and AAU level, building the foundation of a 21-year playing career.
Highly recruited out of high school, and already coaching and training younger players as a high school athlete.
Five years in McMaster's Kinesiology program. League all-star and Academic All-Canadian; 6th all-time in scoring, 1st in steals and 2nd in assists. Bachelor of Science, 2016.
Four pro seasons in Spain (LEB Plata), NBL Canada and the CEBL, learning from coaches and players with NBA, G-League and international backgrounds.
Earned NBL Canada All-Canadian honours for the 2018-19 season.
Created the Purpose Driven Mentality Academy to prepare young players early for how the game is taught at the college and pro level.
Aaron began coaching, training and teaching youth basketball as a high school athlete, and kept coaching throughout his professional career.
As a pro, he learned from coaches and players with top-tier NBA, G-League and international backgrounds. That knowledge is what every PDM player gets access to, from their first Youngstars session to PDM Elite.
Aaron Redpath has a high basketball IQ. His understanding of the game is beyond a system, it's on the execution. Aaron is the perfect person to teach kids the understanding and execution of the game on top of the fundamentals.
