Questions?

Rep Team FAQ

What league do PDM rep teams play in?

All PDM boys and girls rep teams compete in the Ontario Basketball League (OBL). Some teams also play in other local leagues and tournaments, and higher-level select teams take part in AAU tournaments in the United States. Select girls teams also compete in the G-Elite League.

How are age groups decided?

Age groups are based on birth year, from U10 (born 2017 or later) up to U19 (born 2008). Find your athlete's birth year in the age group chart to see where they fit.

What levels do rep teams have?

PDM rep teams run at three levels: PDM Elite (U15 to U19, provincial and national), PDM Gold and White (competitive, regional and provincial), and PDM Black (development and rep introduction). Gravity Select offers coach-led training with weekend Gravity Hoops League games for athletes who can't commit to a rep schedule.

How do I join a rep team?

Players join through tryouts held each season. 2026-27 tryouts have wrapped, but you can contact us about a late evaluation depending on roster space.

How many practices are there each week?

It depends on the level: about one practice a week at PDM Black, two at Gold and White, and two to three plus strength and conditioning at PDM Elite.
